Next Head Coach Odds: Bill Belichick Becoming Less Likely To Join Atlanta Falcons

Bill Belichick is still the favorite to be the next head coach of the Atlanta Falcons, but those odds continue to dwindle.
The former New England Patriots mastermind was as high as -500 to be the next coach of the Falcons this week, but those odds are down to -200 as of January 25th, according to DraftKings.
Belichick was a heavy +750 underdog to not be the head coach of any NFL team on Tuesday, but now those odds sit at +150, as it is becoming an increasingly realistic possibility.
Here are the complete next head coach odds for Belichick, which can be wagered on at DraftKings in states with legal sports betting:
- Atlanta Falcons -200
- Not the head coach of an NFL team +150
- Any other NFL team +350
- Washington Commanders +2000
- New York Jets +20000
- New York Giants +25000
It is beginning to feel like it is Falcons or bust for Belichick.
The Panthers are hiring Buccaneers offensive coordinator Dave Canales as their head coach, while the Commanders are likely to choose Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson.
The Seahawks have an opening but have not shown interest in Belichick.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter recently said that Belichick is “not the favorite” to land the Falcons’ gig, and he’s the most-plugged-in reporter in the NFL.
Schefter said there has not been interest for Belichick beyond the Falcons.
“There’s the real possibility that he’s not going to get any of these head coaching jobs,” Schefter said.
These odds have moved quickly and it’s possible Belichick does end up finalizing an agreement with the Falcons. But it certainly seems up in the air at this point, and the betting markets are finally starting to reflect that, with his next coach odds to join the Falcons becoming less likely.
