Dallas Cowboys vs. Los Angeles Chargers: Dak Prescott, Justin Herbert and Fourth Down Prop Bet Picks for Monday Night Football

We’ve got a good one on Monday night, as the Dallas Cowboys travel to face the Los Angeles Chargers in primetime to wrap up Week 6.
The Chargers are home underdogs but I like them to both cover the spread and grab this win.
Final score prediction: Chargers 27, Cowboys 23.
Dallas Cowboys vs. Los Angeles Chargers Betting Prediction
Here are three prop bet picks I fancy as well, including a +550 underdog bet after an extremely similar one cashed on Sunday.
Cowboys QB Dak Prescott Over/Under 22.5 Completions
Dak Prescott is coming off an absolutely terrible showing against the 49ers. Three interceptions and three sacks in 27 dropbacks is tough to do, but he pulled it off.
But I’m not completely down on Dak.
This is an easier matchup against a Los Angeles defense that can give up some yardage through the air. And the way the Chargers play defense and Prescott plays quarterback mesh well.
He will likely be making a lot of quick, safe throws in this game and Los Angeles will let him in order to eschew the big play.
It’s going to be a dink-and-dunkathon Monday night, and Prescott should clear this completions total.
Prediction: Dak Prescott over 22.5 completions (-114 at FanDuel)
Los Angeles Chargers QB Justin Herbert Over/Under 13.5 Rushing Yards
Herbert hasn’t been running as much the past two years as he did early in his career, but I think this game will dictate some scrambles.
The Cowboys have a fantastic pass-rush, which means Herbert will either need to get the ball out quick or get to stepping. He’s an athletic guy who can pick up yardage in a hurry if he does decide to run with the ball.
Furthermore, Herbert is looking downfield regularly with Kellen Moore now handling play-calling duties, as his intended air yards per pass attempt is eighth in the NFL. Deep balls equate to longer developing plays, which mean more chances to scramble if the play is not there.
Herbert ran the ball 12 times last time out against the Raiders. He’s not going to reach that number here but three or four carries can do the trick.
Prediction: Justin Herbert Over 13.5 Rushing Yards (-110 at DraftKings)
Los Angeles Chargers To Convert a Fourth Down: Yes or No
Well, we gave this one a shot in the Cardinals-Rams matchup and it hit at +600, so it’s time to go back to the well.
Los Angeles has converted five-of-eight fourth down attempts through four games and may do so again here.
But my reasoning is the same as on Sunday. The Rams were third in the NFL in both fourth-down conversions (6) and conversion percentage (75%) heading into Week 6 but didn’t attempt one because the circumstance never dictated it.
The Chargers will more than likely attempt a couple fourth downs and convert one, but at these odds, I’ll keeping taking the underdog play.
Prediction: Chargers Will Not Convert a Fourth Down (+550 at BetMGM)
