Arizona Cardinals Have Worse Odds To Win Super Bowl After Start of Free Agency

The Cardinals were active during the first week of free agency, but didn’t add any stars to their roster.
The sportsbooks don’t believe Arizona’s approach will pay off this year, as their Super Bowl odds have worsened despite entering the new league year with some of the most cap space in the NFL.
The Cardinals were 80-to-1 to win the Super Bowl in February because they had the roster flexibility to make a big splash.
But the decision to make smaller moves has resulted in those championship odds decreasing to 100-to-1 at BetMGM, which is tied with the Broncos for the sixth-worst odds in the NFL.
The Cardinals were given the lowest grade in the NFL for their early free agency decisions by Pro Football Focus, ending up with a mark of ‘C.’
The Cardinals still have 11 draft picks at their disposal, but it’s hard to count on rookies to make that big of a difference in their first season, as this increasingly looks like a two-year rebuild in the desert.
Despite the long odds, they are an improvement on a season ago, when the Cardinals were last in the NFL with 200-to-1 odds to win the Super Bowl as star quarterback Kyler Murray recuperated from a torn ACL. Arizona finished the season 4-13.
Murray will be healthy heading into 2024 and the Cardinals’ offense found a groove down the stretch, so there could be some value at these odds. Arizona is certainly a better wager than the quarterback-less Broncos at 100/1 odds apiece.
Here is a look at every team’s Super Bowl odds following the start of free agency, which can be wagered on at BetMGM.
