Arizona Cardinals Given -200 Odds to Land Marvin Harrison, Jr. in NFL Draft

Some news trickled out about Marvin Harrison, Jr. on Monday, as the elite wide receiver prospect will reportedly skip drills at this week’s NFL Scouting Combine, according to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated.
It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, since Harrison is almost guaranteed to be taken within the top four picks in the NFL draft.
That is where the Arizona Cardinals pick, and they have been listed with -200 odds to land Harrison, Jr. in the draft, according to DraftKings on February 26th. That equates to an implied probability of 66.7%.
The Bears and Patriots are more likely to go quarterback ahead of Arizona’s selection, although both teams are still being given some chance to draft Harrison.
Here is a look at those odds, along with the two other teams that round out the top-5 odds to select Marvin Harrison, Jr. in the draft:
Team to Draft Marvin Harrison, Jr.
- Arizona Cardinals -200
- New England Patriots +350
- Chicago Bears +350
- Washington Commanders +1200
- Los Angeles Chargers +1800
The Cardinals are the only team in the top four picks without the need for a quarterback, as standout Kyler Murray will be back in 2024.
The oddsmakers believe Caleb Williams will land with Chicago at No. 1 overall, while Drake Maye and Jayden Daniels also end up as quarterback selections in the top three.
If the Bears trade down and keep Justin Fields, they could be in the mix for Harrison, Jr. but that’s looking unlikely, as they have -650 odds to choose No. 1 overall and Williams is the -1600 favorite to be taken there, per FanDuel.
New England is a potential stumbling block in case it doesn’t love the quarterback prospect that is available at No. 3, though the need at the position is so massive that there is still a wide expectation that the Patriots take a quarterback.
If New England doesn’t want either Maye or Daniels, there is also the possibility of trading down to gain draft capital and allow a quarterback-needy team to come up to No. 3.
In that scenario, Arizona once again will be in position to draft Harrison at an extreme position of need for the organization.
The Cardinals could look at the offensive tackle prospects or even wideouts Malik Nabers and Rome Odunze, who some analysts compare closely to Harrison, Jr., but Ohio State’s star prospect is the heavy favorite to be the first non-quarterback chosen in the draft, per DraftKings on February 26th.
First Non-QB Taken In the Draft
- Marvin Harrison, Jr. -650
- Joe Alt +800
- Malik Nabers +900
- Jared Verse +1300
- Dallas Turner +1400
- Laiatu Latu +1500
- Olu Fashanu +2000
- Brock Bowers +2000
- Rome Odunze +7500
- JC Latham +7500
- Kool-Aid McKinstry +7500
- Byron Murphy II +7500
