Week 4 SNF Predictions: Zach Wilson , Isiah Pacheco and Breece Hall Prop Bets for Chiefs vs. Jets 10/1/2023
It’s nearing crisis mode for the New York Jets, who are once again getting terrible quarterback play from Zach Wilson.
The lack of a passing attack is threatening to torpedo a season that had so much promise with Aaron Rodgers under center.
The Jets head into Sunday Night Football as 8.5-point underdogs to the Kansas City Chiefs, according to BetMGM on September 29th. The Chiefs are -400 favorites on the moneyline while the Jets are the +310 underdogs. The scoring total is set at 41.5 points.
Here are three prop bets to consider in addition to the regular betting action.
New York Jets Quarterback Zach Wilson Over/Under 177.5 Passing Yards
It’s been a rough season for Wilson, who is averaging only 5.56 yards per pass attempt with a passer rating of 57.0 on the year.
He has yet to surpass 170 passing yards in any game even though the Jets were trailing often against the Cowboys and Patriots the past two weeks.
This could become another pass-heavy script if the Jets fall behind to the Chiefs, which is likely to happen.
But there is this potential situation: coach Robert Saleh could bench Wilson if he has an awful first half, which would obviously make it very hard for him to reach 178 passing yards.
There is a case for Wilson finally having a decent game as an NFL quarterback but I just don’t see it. More struggles await.
Prediction: Jets QB Zach Wilson Under 177.5 Passing Yards (-120)
Kansas City Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco Over/Under 55.5 Rushing Yards
The Chiefs are extremely scary through the air and that’s the way they jump on teams. It will happen again here, as Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Co. will put on another show for Taylor Swift and others in attendance.
But Pacheco has looked good through three games and should get his chance to run the ball, especially late as the Chiefs should be holding a lead.
Pacheco has reached 60 rushing yards in each of the past two games, and while the Jets have a very good defense, their attention and energy is going to be focused on stopping Mahomes.
Pacheco is averaging 4.4 yards per carry this season and I could see him right around that number in this matchup. The volume should be there for Pacheco to reach 56 rushing yards.
Prediction: Isiah Pacheco Over 55.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
Prop Bet Pick: New York Jets RB Breece Hall Over/Under 48.5 Rushing Yards
The Jets would love to pound the rock and keep the ball away from Mahomes. Hall is a big piece to that puzzle, but Dalvin Cook and Michael Carter also loom as threats to siphon away carries.
Hall had an 83-yard run in the season opener against the Bills, but other than that yards have been extremely tough to come by.
He had four carries for only nine yards against the Cowboys and followed that up with 12 rushing attempts for a measly 18 yards last time out against the Patriots.
Hall saw a season-high in snaps last week, playing 49% of the time on offense, but it’s hard to trust that the rushing attempts will result in anything significant.
The Chiefs can stack the box because Wilson is of little threat to beat them down the field, which means another slog for Hall.
Prediction: Breece Hall Under 48.5 Rushing Yards (-120)
