Quinn Ewers, Carson Beck Open as Co-Favorites to Win 2024 Heisman Trophy
Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers and Georgia quarterback Carson Beck both decided to forgo the NFL draft this spring, instead returning to school for another run at a championship.
Unsurprisingly, the duo has been listed as co-favorites to win the 2024 Heisman Trophy at +750, according to early odds put out by FanDuel.
The signal-callers from those two powerhouses are joined by three other quarterbacks in the top-5 for Heisman Trophy odds, which isn’t much of a surprise considering a QB has won the award in seven of the past eight years, with Alabama wideout DeVonta Smith the only exception in 2020.

Ewers threw for 3,479 yards with 22 touchdowns and six interceptions in 12 games for the Longhorns in 2023, and has the infrastructure in place for a huge season in 2024.
Beck threw for 3,941 yards with 24 touchdowns and six interceptions in 14 games for the Bulldogs in 2023 but wasn’t viewed as a potential first-round pick in the draft, and a stellar senior season could help his stock.
Gabriel is headed to a new team this year but the oddsmakers aren’t deterred, as Oregon’s new quarterback has the third-best odds in college football to win the Heisman Trophy. He threw for 3,660 yards with 30 touchdowns and six interceptions for Oklahoma a season ago.
Kansas State’s Will Howard is getting Heisman buzz as he heads into his third season as the starter for the Wildcats. He threw for 2,643 yards with 24 touchdowns a year ago and added nine rushing touchdowns.
Alabama quarterback Jalen Millroe has decided to stay despite the retirement of legendary coach Nick Saban, and he still has solid odds to win the Heisman Trophy in 2024, but it will be interesting to see how he adapts to new coaching.
