Top NFL Prop Bets for Today's Games
As we gear up for today’s NFL action, it’s time to lock in on the top three player prop bets you don’t want to miss. We’ve crunched the numbers, scouted the matchups, and found the best picks to back for today's games. Let’s break down the top prop bets and get set for another winning day on the NFL slate!
For our first player prop bet of this piece, there looks to be some value with Jordan Love throwing an interception.
It’s been noted that the Green Bay Packers quarterback certainly has a bit of Brett Favre in his game and that gunslinger mentality has continued into this season. Since returning from injury on September 29, Love has thrown seven interceptions in four games, including a three-interception effort against the Vikings and a pair of interceptions just last week against the Texans.
Love can certainly make all of the throws, but he also has shown a tendency to be careless with the football. With that in mind, it’s hard to ignore this prop while it’s still reasonably priced. Love has thrown an interception in every game this season. While the Jaguars' defense has been one of the worst units against the pass this season, the Packers have been taking a ton of shots downfield in recent weeks, which can lead to a lot of high variance turnover-worthy plays from their quarterback.
For our second player prop bet, we’re looking at Josh Allen not throwing an interception.
If it’s not broken, don’t fix it. Last week, we targeted this exact prop with the Buffalo Bills quarterback, as he continues to play very clean football in 2024. Allen has yet to throw an interception this season and is working on a nine-game streak where he hasn’t thrown an interception dating back to last season, which is just two games shy of the all-time record. Sunday’s game against the Seahawks should feature another run-heavy game script from Joe Brady and this Buffalo offense, especially against a Seahawks defense that is better against the pass than the run.
Even with his unique ability to extend plays and take it upon himself to make a difficult throw downfield, Allen should still play another clean game and keep things relatively simple. Even in a hostile environment, let’s trust one of the best players in the game to make good decisions on Sunday.
For our final player prop pick, let’s take Brock Purdy to go under 1.5 passing touchdowns.
Simply put, Purdy is in an extremely difficult position this week. The 49ers offense has been a mess all season, and San Francisco lost Brandon Aiyuk to a season-ending injury in Week 7. There’s no current timetable for Christian McCaffrey returning, and Juaun Jennings is still on the injury report for this week’s game with a hip injury. A severely depleted group of receiving targets has ultimately left too much on Purdy’s plate, and his poor play against the Chiefs last week was the result.
While Purdy should fare better this week against a middling Cowboys defense, he has only recorded two or more passing touchdowns in two games this season. Those two contests make up six of his nine passing touchdowns on the year, as the 49ers have been much more reliant on the ground game in the red zone than Purdy’s arm. Let’s back this trend again, especially at a plus-money price.
