NFL Betting Predictions: Week 13 Odds and Picks Against the Spread

Welp, my hot streak picking the Cardinals crashed last week, as they got walloped by the Rams, and I’m now 10-2 picking Arizona games against the spread.

Here are my thoughts on how the Cardinals perform in Week 13 against the Steelers, along with picks for every other game on the slate.

Seattle Seahawks (+9) at Dallas Cowboys

I don’t buy into the notion that the Cowboys can only beat up on bad teams. This is a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

However, I think the Seahawks are better than what they’ve shown of late and can keep this close as both sides of the ball have gotten some key pieces back recently.

Indianapolis Colts (-1) at Tennessee Titans

The Colts have put together a rather impressive season under first-year coach Shane Steichen. The loss of Jonathan Taylor is a big one but I think the passing attack is strong enough to get this road win over a bad Tennessee team.

Los Angeles Chargers (-5.5) at New England Patriots

Detroit Lions (-4) at New Orleans Saints

The Lions are the better team but I don’t think they will dominate against a good Saints defense.

New Orleans is struggling to score points but between the home field advantage and a spread above three points, I like the Saints to cover.

I’d also consider the moneyline at +165 because an upset is possible.

Atlanta Falcons (-2) at New York Jets

Desmond Ridder isn’t good but he’s much better than Tim Boyle. I’ll hold my nose and take Atlanta.

Arizona Cardinals (+5.5) at Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers are No. 10 in DVOA, including a surprising 13th in offensive efficiency, and now get to face arguably the worst defense in the NFL.

Kyler Murray should be better than last week but his top-three pass-catchers could either be unavailable or hobbled, as Hollywood Brown, Trey McBride and Michael Wilson are all dealing with injuries.

Tough spot for Arizona.

Miami Dolphins (-9.5) at Washington Commanders

The Commanders have the second-worst defense in the NFL and the Dolphins have one of the best offenses, so this spread is understandable.

But Washington is at home and I think Sam Howell can do enough to keep his team close.

Denver Broncos (+3.5) at Houston Texans

The Broncos are starting to turn it on, but I’m not buying in completely. The Texans continue to impress and I think C.J. Stroud will be able to find holes in the Denver defense.

Carolina Panthers (+5.5) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

I don’t know why I keep torturing myself by picking the Panthers, but I feel like the defense is going to step up in this one and keep things close.

Cleveland Browns (+3.5) at Los Angeles Rams

When Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua are all healthy, this Los Angeles offense can do some things. This is a tough matchup against a great Cleveland defense, but I think the Rams will find a way to score some points and cover.

San Francisco 49ers (-2.5) at Philadelphia Eagles

It may be eye-opening for some to see the Eagles as home underdogs, but the advanced stats show that the 49ers have been the much better team this season.

Philly still has loads of talent but I think the San Francisco pass-rush is going to give Jalen Hurts some major problems in this game, especially if the 49ers can jump ahead.

Kansas City Chiefs (-6) at Green Bay Packers

Jordan Love has really turned it on lately but the Chiefs’ pass defense has been really stout this year.

I don’t think Love will be able to keep up with Patrick Mahomes in this one and may give away some costly turnovers.

Cincinnati Bengals (+8.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars

The Bengals still have a good amount of talent but the drop-off from Joe Burrow to Jake Browning is tough. The Jaguars seem to be finding their groove on offense, and the other side of the ball has been good all year.

Jacksonville should be able to pull away in this one at home.
