NFL Betting: Brock Purdy, Jalen Hurts, Dak Prescott Co-Favorites To Win MVP

The MVP race is as wide open as ever.
Brock Purdy and Dak Prescott both had fantastic showings in Week 13 and are now listed in a tie with Jalen Hurts atop the MVP odds at BetMGM.
Purdy threw for 314 yards and four touchdowns in a rout of the Eagles on Sunday, while Prescott threw for 299 and three scores in a shootout win over the Seahawks on Thursday night.
Here is a look at the six main MVP candidates at BetMGM. Odds as of December 4th, 2023:
- Brock Purdy +350
- Dak Prescott +350
- Jalen Hurts +350
- Patrick Mahomes +600
- Lamar Jackson +750
- Tua Tagovailoa +800
It’s going to be a very interesting vote when the season ends. Purdy has been great statistically this season, but has an absolute juggernaut of a roster around him, and could be penalized because Jimmy Garoppolo went from great in San Francisco to benched in Las Vegas this season.
Even so, Purdy’s ascension from last pick in the draft in 2022 to MVP co-favorite has been a stunning development, and he is even listed as the lone favorite at DraftKings above the other two.
Prescott is coming on strong and will really have a strong case if the Cowboys can beat the Eagles in Week 14 to give them a shot at the NFC East title.
Hurts’ stock is down recently but Philly still has the best record in the conference and a strong finish could help him win the award.
Prescott is listed as the MVP favorite at FanDuel, so the sportsbooks all have slightly different ideas of the player to beat.
