Chris Jones Next Team Odds: Chiefs Favored But Odds Don’t Move After Championship Parade Statement

The Chiefs are the favorites to re-sign Chris Jones for 2024, but there was no odds movement following the star defensive end’s championship parade declaration that he’s not going anywhere.

Jones had -225 odds to stay with the Chiefs before the statement on Wednesday, and that’s where things stand as of Thursday afternoon.

Jones has a 69% chance to remain with Kansas City by implied probability, which is pretty good but not the lock that he promised Chiefs fans.

Jones sat out the first game of the regular season after sparring with Kansas City about his contract in 2023, but was in a much different place during the championship parade.

Jones’ agent clearly has a different mindframe, as he quickly responded on Twitter in a funny way.

Jones is set to be one of the most talented players heading to free agency and can cash in big-time if he leaves the Chiefs.

As of now, Kansas City is the favorite to retain him and Jones wants to stay, but a lot can happen over the next few weeks.

Teams like the Bears and Texans have a lot of cap space, while the Lions could be in the mix based on their need for a game-wrecking interior lineman.
