Cardinals vs. Steelers NFL Odds: Kyler Murray, James Conner and Jaylen Warren Prop Bets, Predictions
The Cardinals are coming off a rough showing against the Rams last week.
Will they look any better against the Steelers? More importantly, will my prop bets hit?
Here are three I like for the Week 13 matchup in Pittsburgh.
Prop Bet Pick: Cardinals QB Kyler Murray Over/Under 28.5 Rushing Yards
Michael Wilson is out. Hollywood Brown hasn’t practiced all week. Trey McBride is banged up.
The Cardinals don’t have the best receiving corps when healthy, and right now there are myriad injuries issues.
Arizona threw the ball 45 times last week and it was ugly, reinforcing the need for balance. Murray is entering his fourth game back from a torn ACL, which should be about the time where he becomes more incorporated in the ground game.
He only had one carry for two yards last week against the Rams but should see a big uptick in this one, either by design or by scramble.
The offense is in a tough spot against the Steelers, and Murray’s legs will be needed to move the ball.
Prediction: QB Kyler Murray over 28.5 rushing yards (-115 at DraftKings)
Prop Bet Pick: Cardinals RB James Conner Over/Under 52.5 Rushing Yards
The Cardinals are road underdogs, short-handed at receiver and face a fearsome pass-rush.
The best remedy? Run the ball.
James Conner was only given six carries in last week’s loss to the Rams and it feels like the Cardinals are going to put a renewed emphasis on the ground game in this matchup.
Murray is a rushing threat but he doesn't always get a bunch of carries, which will keep Conner’s volume up. The bellcow back is averaging 5.1 yards per carry this year, and the Steelers are allowing 4.3 yards per attempt as a team.
All signs point to a bounceback performance on the ground from Conner.
Prediction: RB James Conner over 52.5 rushing yards (-115 at BetMGM)
Prop Bet Pick: Steelers RB Jaylen Warren Over/Under 58.5 Rushing Yards
It’s a bit jarring to see Warren projected to finish with more rushing yards than Najee Harris, but he’s been phenomenal this season and carried the ball 13 times last week in the first week free from the shackles of former offensive coordinator Matt Canada.
The Cardinals are pretty bad against the run, allowing 4.5 yards per carry, but their real weakness is defending the pass. I question whether Warren will get enough volume to reach 59 rushing yards, which is a higher number than Harris or Conner.
While he could get a big chunk of it with one rushing attempt, I think Warren has a pedestrian game on the ground instead.
Prediction: Steelers RB Jaylen Warren under 58.5 rushing yards (-115 at DraftKings)
