Best NFL Same Game Parlay Bet Today: Patriots vs. Steelers @ +360 odds on 12/7
Simplicity is the word of the day, as it is time to get back to basics to cash a Same Game Parlay. The Steelers and Patriots are facing off on Thursday Night Football, and everyone is expecting a low-scoring grind between a pair of bad offenses.
I’m going against the grain. Well, sort of. I am combining the Patriots spread with a bet that will hit if both teams finish with more than 13.5 points. It pays out at +360, so I’ll I’m asking for is a modicum of explosiveness from the offenses, or a defensive touchdown, or a big special teams play.
Whatever it takes, just get me to 14 points on each side, and keep the Patriots within six points. I took advantage of BetMGM’s Same Game Parlay insurance boost, so when New England gets shut out again at least I’ll get my $10 back in bonus cash.
Spread Bet: Patriots +6.5
Team Prop Bets: Steelers over 13.5 points; Patriots over 13.5 points
Parlay Odds: +360 at BetMGM
Leg 1: New England Patriots +6.5
- Seven of New England’s 10 losses have come by a touchdown or less
- Pittsburgh has a negative-37 point-differential on the season and is using a backup quarterback
- The low scoring total means it could be hard for the Steelers to pull away
Leg 2: New England Patriots Over 13.5 Points
- New England has scored 14 points or more in seven of its 12 games
- QB Bailey Zappe has struggled this season but has a career yards-per-attempt figure of 6.1 and could see some positive regression
- The Patriots’ defense could score a touchdown or force a turnover that puts the offense in position to find the end zone
Leg 3: Pittsburgh Steelers Over 13.5 Points
- The Steelers are averaging 16 points per game and the drop-off from Kenny Pickett to Mitchell Trubisky is not substantial
- Running back Jaylen Warren, wideout George Pickens and wideout Diontae Johnson are explosive players capable of scoring a long touchdown
- The Patriots’ offense could turn the ball over in an advantageous spot to get a touchdown
