Arizona Cardinals Over/Under Wins Odds 2021: Bet the over
The NFC West is a cracking division from top to bottom but can the Kyler Murray led Arizona Cardinals clear the eight win mark? Zachary Rainey investigates...
The Arizona Cardinals are going to be one of the more interesting and intriguing teams next season.
After finishing 7-9 last season, their win total currently sits at over/under 8.
They made headlines during free agency when they signed former Houston Texan J.J. Watt seemingly out of nowhere.
Like I wrote back when the signing occurred, that puts Watt, who I still think hes some juice left in the tank if he can stay healthy, and is an awesome choice to put on the other side of Pro-Bowl pass rusher Chandler Jones if he can return to his former self after getting one sack in five games last season.
But the positive thing is that, even if Jones can’t be 100 percent of his former self, Haason Reddick stepped up in a big way last season. After being looked at as more of a hybrid linebacker after the Cardinals drafted him in 2017, the Cardinals opted to try Reddick on the line, as he just wasn’t cutting it as the hybrid linebacker.
After the move to the edge, he tallied 12.5 sacks last season. With Watt’s ability to also lineup on the inside, this defensive line will be one of the best in the league and I think rival the Los Angeles Rams defensive line.
For a little while, I was sort of confused with Arizona’s offseason moves on the offensive end. At the time, we weren’t sure about the status of Larry Fitzgerald and they had just added A.J. Green. My initial thought was “are they trying to get slower?”
But they went out and drafted the speedster out of Purdue in Rondale Moore.
Moore didn’t get the notoriety he had in his freshman season after coming back from injury last season. He initially said he was opting out, but then made the decision to come back. With no spring workouts and not a lot of time to get into rhythm, he just didn’t look like himself, but that was to be expected.
When Moore is healthy, he’s a game-changer. Go watch his game against Ohio State, when his 12 catches for 170 yards and two touchdown effort propelled the Purdue Boilermakers to a giant upset against the Buckeyes. Moore had six other games in which he went over 100 yards receiving that season and I think Kliff Kingsbury looks to get him involved early and often this season.
I asked two people whose opinions I trust to just look at Arizona’s schedule without knowing what the win total was at. One person looked and said 10, while the other person said he thinks they could win 12.
Mark me down for Cardinals over eight wins.
