Kamilla Cardoso, Aziaha James and Raven Johnson Prop Bets for South Carolina-N.C. State Women’s Basketball Final Four

The South Carolina women’s basketball team is two wins away from an undefeated season, and the oddsmakers expect an easy march into the national championship game.
The Gamecocks are 11.5-point favorites against North Carolina State in their Final Four matchup, per BetMGM. South Carolina has -800 moneyline odds to knock off the Wolfpack, while North Carolina State is a +550 underdog to pull the upset.
Beyond the final outcome, there are a plethora of prop bets available for this Final Four matchup between South Carolina and North Carolina State.
Below are our best picks on Kamilla Cardoso, Aziaha James and Raven Johnson prop bets. Also check out our prop bet picks on Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers for Iowa-UConn.
Note: Many states in the U.S. do not allow wagering on college basketball props. The only options may be the spread, moneyline and scoring total.
North Carolina State G Aziaha James Over/Under 18.5 Points
James has been on a tear in the NCAA Tournament, averaging 24.3 points on 50.8% shooting from the field and 57% from three-point range.
Is it sustainable against South Carolina? I have my doubts.
James is averaging 16.7 points on the year, but overall is shooting just 41.8% from the floor and 34.4% from three-point range. She dropped in seven three-pointers last time out against Texas, but between regression and the Gamecocks’ defense, it could be tough sledding in this matchup.
North Carolina State has a projected over/under of only 63.5 points in this game, per DraftKings sportsbook, which is much lower than the 76-plus points the Wolfpack have scored in each of their past three games.
James should put up a decent number of points on Friday, but 19 or more is too much to ask.
Best bet: Aziaha James under 18.5 points (-115 odds at BetMGM)
South Carolina F Kamilla Cardoso Over/Under 9.5 Rebounds
Cardoso will be the tallest player on the court at 6-foot-7, and she has great efficiency pulling down boards. But I’m concerned about the over in this prop bet for two reasons.
The first is South Carolina’s depth. Cardoso is a great player, but she only averages 25 minutes per game on the court because the Gamecocks have so many others worthy of playing time.
That number hasn’t spiked in the tournament, and it can be a challenge to haul in double-digit rebounds in that short of a timespan.
The other part that has me questioning the over is North Carolina State’s rebounding ability. The Wolfpack grabbed 5.8 more rebounds per game than their opponents this season, which isn’t in the stratosphere of South Carolina, but is still comfortably above average.
River Baldwin, Madison Hayes, Saniya Rivers and Mimi Collins all averaged more than six rebounds per game during the year, illuminating the group effort the Wolfpack use on the glass.
If Baldwin and Hayes, especially, can stay out of foul trouble and remain on the court with Cardoso, I think the under will hit.
Best bet: South Carolina F Kamilla Cordoso under 9.5 rebounds (-115 odds at BetMGM)
South Carolina G Raven Johnson Over/Under 4.5 Assists
Johnson may not have the same star power as some of her more heralded teammates, but she is a key cog for South Carolina.
Johnson doesn’t shoot much, but has been hitting at a high enough clip this season that teams have to respect her three-point shot. That opens up more passing lanes, and she is averaging 4.9 assists per game on the year.
Johnson played 32 and 29 minutes the past two games, and as a guard, isn’t as in much danger of getting into foul trouble as the bigs.
South Carolina shoots nearly 50% from the field, which is one of the best marks in women’s basketball, and if her teammates come through, Johnson should surpass four assists in this matchup.
Best bet: South Carolina G Raven Johnson over 4.5 assists (-115 odds at BetMGM)
