Caitlin Clark, Paige Bueckers, Hannah Stuelke Prop Bets for Iowa-UConn Women’s Basketball Final Four
The hype has reached epic proportions, and Caitlin Clark continues to live up to it.
Iowa’s star guard put on a dazzling display in the Elite Eight, scoring 41 points and nailing nine three-pointers to send home defending national champion LSU.
The Hawkeyes now head to a Final Four showdown with perennial power UConn. Iowa is listed as the 2.5-point favorite and -148 on the moneyline at DraftKings. The Huskies have +124 odds to pull off the mini upset. The scoring total is listed at 162.5 points, as the oddsmakers expect a frenetic affair.
What will Clark do in this one? DraftKings has unveiled her player props, and they are almost comically high, which is a testament to her utter dominance. UConn star Paige Bueckers is also expected to have a big game.
Let’s dive into the best prop bets for Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers for Iowa vs. UConn in the Final Four.
Note: Many states in the U.S. do not allow wagering on college basketball props. The only options may be the spread, moneyline and scoring total.
Iowa G Caitlin Clark Over/Under 33.5 Points
Clark is averaging 32.0 points per game on the season, so this is certainly attainable, especially after the show she put on against LSU.
However, I can’t help but think that UConn watched that game and felt like LSU used the wrong defensive strategy. The Tigers didn’t trap or hedge on Clark enough, or give primary defender Hailey Van Lith a ton of help.
If the Huskies decide that it’s better to roll the dice on the other Iowa players beating them, it’s going to be pretty tough for Clark to find enough open space to accumulate all of these points.
Clark easily cleared this number last time out but she went under 33 in her first three NCAA Tournament games, and based on the underdog odds, it’s not the fun play, but it’s the correct one.
Best bet: Clark under 33.5 points (+105 odds at DraftKings)
UConn G Paige Bueckers Over/Under 26.5 Points
This line looks high at first glance considering Bueckers only averaged 22.0 points during the season, but there is a reason for that. The star guard missed the 2022-23 season with a torn ACL so a decent chunk of this year was rebounding from that.
Over the past 10 games, she has looked dynamic, averaging 27.3 points on 54% from the field and 38.7% from three.
While Clark is the main attraction, Bueckers is a superstar in her own right, and UConn has enough other threats that Iowa can’t key on her.
Buckers has reached 27 or more points in six of her last seven games, and she has shot the ball an average of 23 times per game in the past three outings.
Bueckers has returned to her dominant form, and she should be able to go toe-to-toe with Clark in this one.
Best bet: UConn G Paige Bueckers over 26.5 points (-110 odds at DraftKings)
Iowa F Hannah Stuelke Over/Under 11.5 Points
A migraine kept Stuelke sidelined for the second half of Iowa’s opening-round NCAA Tournament game, and foul trouble limited her to just 21 minutes and eight points last time out against LSU.
But Stuelke is averaging 13.8 points per game this season, and if she can stay on the court, the 6-foot-2 forward seems likely to be one of Iowa’s main scoring threats outside of Clark.
If UConn does try to get the ball out of Caitlin Clark’s hands, Stuelke could be one of the main benefactors. Stuelke is shooting a sparkling 62.5% from the field on the season, so she doesn’t need a ton of shots to reach 12 points.
The over on this prop bet feels like a great choice.
Best bet: Iowa F Hannah Stuelke over 11.5 points (-120 odds at DraftKings)
