Rangers Outfielders Evan Carter, Wyatt Langford Open as Rookie of the Year Favorites

The Texas Rangers are the defending World Series champions and return plenty of veteran major league talent.
They may also benefit from an infusion of talented young prospects.
Outfielders Evan Carter and Wyatt Langford have both opened on the short-list of American League Rookie of the Year favorites.
Carter is the overall favorite and Langford is third, according to BetMGM sportsbook on March 7th.
Here is a look at the top-10 candidates to win American League Rookie of the Year in 2024.
A.L. Rookie of the Year Favorites at BetMGM
- Evan Carter +275

Carter recently had a two-homer game for the Rangers and has been scorching the ball in Spring Training.
He was up with the Rangers in September and during their playoff run, finishing with an OPS of 1.058 in 75 plate appearances, and should be a key cog from the jump for Texas.
Holliday is the top overall prospect in MLB and is making his case to begin the season with the Orioles.
Playing time can be important in the Rookie of the Year race, as voters give weight to players who participate in more games rather than being in the minor leagues, and starting with Baltimore would help Holliday’s prospects.
Langford was the No. 4 overall pick in the draft just last season and hit .360 with a .480 on-base percentage across four minor league levels.
That dominance has many believing he will find a role with the big league club quickly, and he could end up in the thick of the American League Rookie of the Year race.
While the aforementioned trio are the favorites and the top-10 have the best odds, there is a long list of players who can be wagered on to win the American League Rookie of the Year.
