MLB Betting: Ronald Acuna, Juan Soto Open Season As MVP Favorites

The MLB season is upon us, and soon the game’s biggest stars will be putting their prodigious talent on full display.

FanDuel has a long list of MVP candidates heading into the 2024 regular season, with Braves superstar Ronald Acuna and new Yankees slugger Juan Soto opening as the favorites in the National and American League, respectively.

Acuna is listed at +500 odds to claim the N.L. MVP hardware, while Soto has the same odds to win the A.L. MVP, per FanDuel on March 28th.

Last year’s American League MVP, Shohei Ohtani, is now in the National League, but the two-way star is not expected to pitch this season after Tommy John surgery, hurting his odds. He's also mired in a gambling scandal, and it's unclear at this point if there will be punishment.

Soto, meanwhile, was in the National League last season but was traded from the Padres to New York in the offseason.
