Wings vs. Aces Betting Predictions
Prediction
Dallas made a lineup change for game two, sliding veteran guard Odyssey Sims in with the starters, moving Crystal Dangerfield to the bench. While the move helped to a degree with shoring up their defense, the Wings continued to struggle with finding easy offense.
Vegas has done a tremendous job in limiting some of Dallas’ transition opportunities, getting their defense set and giving up limited odd-man advantages. With how efficient their offense has been as well, there haven’t been a large amount of chances for Dallas to rip and run. When they have, it’s largely been well contested.
The Wings have struggled to find a balance offensively, oftentimes a bit too tunnel visioned or too slow in setting up. Can a return to College Park settle them down and find their rhythm?
During Dallas’ win over Vegas in the regular season, they dominated the glass, +11 in that category. Every starter scored in double digits. They forced the Aces’ into more turnovers than usual, making it more of a slugfest and playing a balanced attack. If Dallas can dictate the parameters of the game, they have a fighting chance in Texas to open this series up.
Score Prediction: Aces 94 Wings 85
Player to Watch
The Wings need a big game from Most Improved Player and All-Star Satou Sabally. Sabally has struggled from the floor in this series, shooting well below 40% from the floor. She hasn’t gotten to the line or into the paint with the ease she did during the season.
The Aces deserve a great deal of credit for how they’ve forced the Wings into difficulty in the in–between, but Sabally is capable of more. Her ability to play with freedom and flow in the offense is vital to this team finding that aforementioned offensive balance.
