MLS Picks Against The Spread
"Against the spread (ATS)" is where you are betting on a team to perform better than the point spread set by a sportsbook. To win this bet, you must either win by a margin greater than the spread (if they are the favorite) or lose by fewer points/goals than the spread (if they are the underdog).Just like our moneyline picks, all our ATS betting tips uses the computer picks to find the most likely scenario against the spread.
MLS Point Total Computer Picks
Also known as over/under in a game, our unbiased computer picks have everything you need for point total betting for each team you watch every weekend.
MLS Player Props Computer Picks
Player props within a game are some of the most interesting ways to bet in a Major League Soccer season. This looks at a specific player and what they could do in a game, which includes scoring, shots, shots on target, to get a card, the method of scoring, and more.
Our computer picks looks at all the previous statistics of each player, such as their number of goals, how they tend to score, their card ratio, and more.
MLS Parlay Computer Picks
Parlay betting is where you pick two or more bets in one to make a parlay. For example, picking Sporting Kansas City to beat Orlando City and Columbus Crew to defeat Real Salt Lake on the moneyline would equal a parlay. Each gameweek, you can find our betting tips for each game to create a parlay thanks to our computer picks.
MLS Score Predictions: How Do They Work?
MLS score predictions are simple, as this simply predicts the number of goals scored and the end result of each match. For example, Columbus Crew to win and both teams to score, or Columbus Crew to win and over 2.5 goals scored in the game. You can also enhance the odds more by predicting the exact score, such as Columbus Crew to beat Orlando City 2-1.
Each bookmaker will have these options available, but our computer picks will find the best MLS score predictions for you for each match.

MLS Cup Playoffs Predictions
With so many places up for grabs in the Eastern Conference and Western Conference, predicting a team to get into the Playoffs takes a lot of research.

MLS Matchups and Locations
Split into the Eastern Conference and Western Conference, there are 29 teams in Major League Soccer making the league one of the biggest in the world. Three of these teams are from Canada (Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver), with the other 26 based across America. Teams will play a game as a home side and an away side throughout the season.
Eastern Conference
With an Eastern Conference team winning 50% of the MLS Cups in the past 10 years, we think the trophy stays out East with Inter Miami likely taking the title home.
Columbus Crew
Columbus Crew is the defending champions of the MLS Cup after Wilfried Nancy won the trophy in his first season with the team. Columbus Crew has been excellent so far in 2024, and it should get into the Playoffs once more.
FC Cincinnati
The winner of the Supporters' Shield title in 2023, Cincinnati had its best-ever MLS season in 2023. This year, once again, it is right in the mixer for the MLS Cup.
Orlando City SC
Orlando City plays its games at the Exploria Stadium and it has got desperately close to touching silverware in recent years, finishing second in the Western Conference and losing to only the eventual MLS Cup winners, Columbus Crew, in the Conference semi-finals.
It's been a poor start for Orlando, but we expect them right in there for a fight in the Playoffs once again.
Atlanta United
Since joining MLS in 2017, Atlanta United has landed a Playoffs spot in every season besides 2022. It has already managed to get its hands on the MLS Cup and U.S. Open Cup, and Columbus Crew scored more goals than it in 2023 across all competitions.
We expect it to get into the Playoffs once more.
Inter Miami CF
The team on everyone's lips this campaign is Inter Miami. It has used its two open DP spots on Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets this year, and with Luis Suarez in there too, Miami could be unstoppable this season.
Last season, Miami finished outside of the Playoffs, as Messi joined too late in the campaign. In this new season, however, he and the likes of Luis Suárez have been scoring goals since the start.
We fully expect Inter Miami CF to be in the MLS Cup Playoffs come to October and likely win the lot.
Philadelphia Union
As one of fiercest teams to compete in the Eastern Conference, Philadelphia Union won that division's league title two seasons ago but was stunned by Los Angeles FC in the MLS Cup Final.
In 2023, the Union finished fourth in the last Eastern Conference and with them managing to keep hold of the services of Daniel Gazdag and Julian Carranza, we expect more positives from Philadelphia in 2024.
New England Revolution
After a sensational year in 2023, New England Revolution has struggled so far in 2024. As of now, there is nothing to suggest it will get into the Playoffs, but perhaps it can make it into the wild card round.
Nashville SC
Powered by the excellence of Hany Mukhtar, Nashville SC has been one of the best teams around since joining MLS in 2020. It has, however, struggled so far, but with Sam Surridge and Mukhtar still on its roster, Nashville should still be considered a threat.
New York Red Bulls
What a sensational start to 2024 it has been for New York Red Bulls. It struggled in 2023 and only narrowly achieved a spot in Playoffs, but it is right up there as one of the best teams in the Eastern division right now.
The New York Red Bulls should end up challenging for the MLS Cup, as it still seeks its first-ever triumph.
New York City FC
New York City FC is once again struggling in 2024. It finished outside the Playoff spots in 2023, and it seems the same is on the cards for the Pigeons this year.
Chicago Fire FC
Chicago Fire is a weird one. It has the players to do well with likes of Hugo Cuypers and Xherdan Shaqiri on its roster, but Chicago just cannot seem to find consistency. We expect another finish outside of the Playoffs for the Fire.
CF Montréal
Big things were expected of Montreal before the season with it getting the services of Josef Martinez, but it is once again is struggling on the defensive front. Martinez could spearhead a charge to the Playoffs, however.
Charlotte FC
Charlotte is another weird one. It has finished outside of the top seven spots in MLS since joining the league two years ago and nothing suggests it will go one better in 2024. However, with former Premier League manager, Dean Smith, now at the helm, things could change.
D.C. United
What a miserable few years it's been for DC United. It has finished outside of the Playoff positions for the past four seasons despite boosting of a pretty good squad. In truth, we don't see much changing this year.
Toronto FC
We're still getting our head around how bad Toronto was in 2023. It finished in last place in the overall table, despite breaking transfer records for the likes of Lorenzo Insigne. It has, however, looked a bit better this season and we expect a run into the Playoffs after struggling to win a match in 2023.
Western Conference
Seattle Sounders FC
A regular contender in the Playoffs, Seattle Sounders has finished in the Playoffs in 14 of its 15 seasons in Major League Soccer. Seattle Sounders is unquestionably one of the biggest teams in America, however, we don't expect it to make it to another Western Conference final with some early struggles keeping them way behind the Playoffs right now.
This could end up being Seattle Sounders' worst-ever season.
Los Angeles FC
Los Angeles FC has been arguably the best Western Conference team since coming into Major League Soccer in 2018. Only once has it failed to land a Playoffs spot (2021) in the six seasons in the league, claiming two Supporters' Shield titles and winning the MLS Cup in 2022 as well.
This year is, however, Los Angeles' first season without their legendary goalscorer, Carlos Vela, and it looks as if this might allow the likes of Los Angeles Galaxy and Houston Dynamo to finish higher than LAFC in the table.
St. Louis City SC
St. Louis City had one of the most impressive debut seasons of any Western Conference side in recent memory in 2023, as St. Louis won the Western Conference title. St. Louis has once again
Houston Dynamo FC
The winners of the Leagues Cup in 2023 defeated Messi's Inter Miami last year and crashed out of in the Conference final in the Playoffs too. Houston Dynamo had one of the best defensive records in this time too, and it has once again been excellent in the early stages of 2024.
You should expect another challenge for the MLS Cup in 2024 from them and a potential triumph in the Western Conference.
LA Galaxy
No team has played more MLS seasons and won more MLS Cups than the giants of North American soccer, LA Galaxy. In this new season, the Galaxy have been incredible so far after putting on record their worst-ever campaign with a finish down in 27th of the overall standings.
Dejan Joveljić has been the standout player so far, and with the likes of Riqui Puig and Maya Yoshida finally finding their feet in Los Angeles, it looks as if the Greg Vanney can get his side into the Playoffs once more.
Real Salt Lake
Real Salt Lake was excellent in 2023. Once again, it is looking impressive in 2024 with the likes of Chicho Arango and Matt Crooks looking excellent so far.
We expect another campaign where Real Salt Lake battle for the MLS Cup.
Vancouver Whitecaps FC
The Vancouver Whitecaps has rapidly become one of the favorites to win the Western Conference title with a fantastic start to 2024. We expect it in the off-season, with the likes of Ryan Gauld and Fafa Picault shining so far.
Portland Timbers
The Portland Timbers stunned Major League Soccer when it ended up in the MLS Cup Final in 2021, but it's been quite rough for it ever since with consecutive finishes outside the Playoffs. We expect the same again in 2024.
Colorado Rapids
The Colorado Rapids were absolutely shocking in 2023. It finished with only five wins on the board, 17 losses and scored just 26 goals from the 34 regular season games. It has been better this year so far but the poor defensive form has continued, so we expect another tough season for the Rapids.
Minnesota United FC
Minnesota United is now led by new head coach, Eric Ramsey, the English-born is the youngest manager in MLS history at the stunning age of 32. From the six seasons in MLS, Minnesota has got into the Playoffs on four occasions, but it once again failed to get into the Playoffs in 2023.
The Loons look a bit better so far in 2024, but with many doubts still hanging over the head of Eric Ramsey, we're not sure it can challenge for the MLS Cup this year.
San Jose Earthquakes
The San Jose Earthquakes has two MLS Cups on its books, but last season, it struggled throughout. These same struggles have continued into 2024, and we expect a long and hard season for the Quakes.
Austin FC
It's been a topsy-turvy few years for Austin FC since joining MLS. From its first three years, it has got into the Playoffs just once, but it did finish second in the Western Conference that year in 2022.
In reality, with very little transfer action, we expect another tough season for Austin.
MLS Season Standings & Our Predictions for the Rest of the Season
This season's MLS has been extremely competitive in both the Eastern and Western Conferences. Many teams have proven to be a surprise in both good and bad ways. Many people did not feel Colorado Rapids would compete this season after the poor season they had last year whilst few would have tipped St Louis City to play as poorly as they have done so far.
So far Real Salt Lake's Cristian Arango has been scoring for fun with 17 goals so far whilst Cincinnati's Luciano Acosta has racked up a whopping 15 assists.
Cincinnati are the current leaders of the Eastern Conference with Inter Miami and Columbus Crew hot on their heels. In the Western Conference, LAFC, LA Galaxy and Real Salt Lake are all on 43 points while Colorado Rapids are still in the race with 38 points.
However, winning the MLS is not just about how many points you gain in your conference. Once the leagues are over the top seven teams from each conference face off against each other in knockout games with the top team from each conference going straight to the semi-finals.
Should the league end today Cincinnati, Inter Miami, Columbus Crew, NY Red Bulls, NYCFC, Charlotte United and Orlando City woulld emerge from the Eastern Conference whilst LAFC, Real Salt Lake, LA Galaxy, Colorado Rapids, Portland Timbers, Vancouver Whitecaps and Seattle Sounders would come through the West.
Inter Miami are the betting favorites at +185 and they definitely have the team filled with the most superstars with Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets all reuniting in the MLS. There's a reason Inter Miami are the betting favorites, they have the best team in the competition and I believe they will go on to win it.
However, if you prefer to take a long shot bet I would recommend Cincinnati who are priced at +900 to win the competition. They are in red hot form winning 12 out of their last 15 games. They have proven before that they can beat Inter Miami as last time the two sides faced each other Cincinnati came away with a 6-1 victory.
