Netherlands vs. Czech Republic Predictions: Extra Time to be played at +550

The Round of 16 continues in Budapest this Sunday lunchtime as the Netherlands take on the Czech Republic. Our man Neil Monnery has struggled to find prices he loves but has two picks - both at longer odds - ahead of the game...
Location: Budapest, Hungary
Date: Sunday, June 27
Kick Off Time: 12PM ET
TV: ESPN
If it wasn’t for a funny five minutes against Ukraine in their opening game, the Netherlands would be looking at three games, three wins, eight goals scored and none conceded. The first three however still went down as the Oranje started to look a little bit like their former selves.
Back in the Netherlands, the country are extremely unhappy that the traditional 4-3-3 that plenty of fantastic Dutch sides have played for several decades now has been abandoned but no-one can argue with the results.
The Czech Republic won their first game with Scotland before drawing with Croatia thanks in large part to a very soft penalty and going down 1-0 to England - a game in which they easily could’ve got a point and faced Germany rather than Netherlands in the Round of 16.
It should be noted that this is the first game for the Dutch outside of the Amsterdam Arena. The game will take place in Budapest so they will not feel the benefit of the home support cheering them on.
Memphis Depay has slowly worked his way into this tournament for the Dutch. The new Barcelona man has scored in two straight but the attacking prowess of Georginio Wijnaldum has been one of the revelations of the tournament. Like his teammate Depay, he’s moving club teams this summer and Liverpool fans will be wondering why they never saw him pop up in the opposition box when he played for them. The midfielder scored three times in the group and he’s only +260 to score again in this game. Another short price.
The Moneyline has the Netherlands -150 to win the game in 90 minutes and that is slightly longer than I anticipated. I still won’t play that market as odds-on bets isn’t what I’m about unless it is very close to Even money but I thought it would be nearer -200. I think the Dutch are a pretty decent outfit and I’m not of the belief that the Czech Republic can really hang with any of the upper echelon teams at Euro 2020.
I have struggled to find many lines I like but even though I think the Netherlands win - bet365 are offering +550 on the ‘Will Extra Time be Played?’ market and that is a big price. Well worth a small flutter.
I’ll also have a few bucks on Denzel Dumfries to score anytime. The right-sided player has already scored twice and is +900 with bet365 to hit the back of the net again.
Picks: Extra Time to be played at +550 and Denzel Dumfries to score anytime at +900. Both of those prices are with bet365.
