Manchester United vs Leicester Picks: Over 2.5 Goals a good price
It is going to be quite the busy week for Ole Gunnar Solskaer’s team as they have three games in five days. That wouldn’t be so bad in baseball or in the NBA but in soccer that is quite the hectic schedule. Neil Monnery takes a look at the game and has spotted a value bet...

The middle game of the three is on Tuesday lunchtime as they look to keep Manchester City from celebrating the EPL title - for another 48 hours at least. Champions League chasing Leicester City are set to rock up at Old Trafford having started to struggle down the stretch - just as they did at the end of last season.
Losing at home to Newcastle on Friday night is enough to worry fans of the Foxes but shipping in four goals against such a lackluster attack is just mind-boggling. That 2-4 defeat at home was a high-scoring thriller that wasn’t on the radar of many soccer bettors but two big injuries are pointing me towards the over 2.5 goals in this one.
Jonny Evans (Leicester) and Harry Maguire (Manchester United) are the most important defensive players on either side. Both are set to miss that match this Tuesday lunchtime. The former is set to miss out due to an ongoing heel problem. He was sorely missed in that battering by the Toon Army last week. The latter is set to miss a league match for the first time since signing for the Red Devils - an ankle injury the reason.
With both teams missing their best defender - that should give the advantage to the attack minded men on the field. Leicester’s Kelechi Iheanacho has found his scoring boots over the past few weeks and has found the back of the net 15 times in his past 16 appearances. Not too shabby. Jamie Vardy may not be as hot in front of goal but he loves the big games.
As for United, Edinson Cavani looked set to stay at Manchester United for another year according to reports from the UK. He has been a revelation in the second part of the season. The Argentine striker has been a forceful player at the point of their attacking lineup with Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood playing wide with Bruno Fernandes in the playmaking role.
I’m very surprised you can get +100 on the over 2.5 goals market. This is a 50% shot and when you consider in Leicester’s past five league games, four times has the over 2.5 landed and that ratio is exactly the same when you look at Manchester United’s past five league games. This indicates the over 2.5 goals is more like an 80% chance to land so take that +100.
