Italy and Wales are both very much on the path to the knockout stages so how will things shake out in the final group game? Neil Monnery has a couple of betting piks for this Group A encounter...

Location: Rome, Italy

Date: Sunday, June 20.

Kick Off Time: 12PM ET

TV: ESPN

Wales are coming off of the back of an extremely impressive performance against Turkey where they all but sealed their spot in the knockout stages of Euro 2020. Gareth Bale ran the show and Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey late runs from midfield created three guilt edged opportunities for Rob Page’s pen - he may have only taken one of them but the way the two players combined showed that the run to the semi-finals in France five years ago may not have been a total fluke.

As for Italy, two games, two impressive wins and the momentum is building for them to cause some serious damage in this tournament. All they need to do is avoid defeat to assure themselves of top spot in the group and with Wales too only needing a point - a tie would be a most convenient result for all parties.

Not that I’m a cynic but the first line I looked at was the Moneyline and the first line of odds - well that was the tie (+310 for the record).

The Italians have won both their games so far 3-0 and looked extremely comfortable in doing so. Turkey have been a considerable disappointment in their two games so far - conceding five and scoring none but the victory over a decent looking Swiss side - one who still have ambitions of qualifying themselves was noteworthy.

I’m not sure Manuel Locatelli will score twice in a game again in Euro 2020 - or that he’ll score a better score than his second but that performance will ensure opposition teams have to account for him. The health of leader Giorigo Chiellini is in doubt with the defender coming off early in that game due to a thigh injury.

Wales will once more be led by Gareth Bale who was outstanding last time out despite blazing a penalty high wide and not very handsome over the bar.

Picks: Italy may not have let in any goals yet but I think Wales can grab one - probably in defeat so that +140 for Both Teams to Score with Borgata and BetMGM interests me greatly.

Aaron Ramsey is a whopping +900 to score anytime with Borgata, BetMGM and Resorts Casino in NJ. That seems like a generous price to me.
