- MAIN EVENT: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol – for the WBA (Super) light heavyweight title
Bivol goes into the fight as the defending champion and is unbeaten, he also happens to be the 12th fighter that has been unbeaten that Canelo has faced in recent years, (the last Canel faced being Caleb Plant in November 2021).
However, Bivol has chosen to fight sparingly since turning professional in 2014, only having 19 bouts to his name, with some of his opponents possibly questionable, his last six wins have had to be decided by a points decision.
Few will doubt Canelo's pedigree going into this fight, he's had 60 fights with just 1 loss, 2 draws, and 39 knockouts, along with 18 wins by decision, and it is no surprise to see that the bookmakers have him as the clear favorite, depending on which state you are in he is as low as -625 to win whereas Bivol is firmly around the +400 mark.
The value then is firmly in the round betting and Bet MGM (whose current new customer is a risk-free bet of up to $1000) is our choice of bookmakers to look at, in previous bouts, Canelo has taken the fight the distance (round 11 +2000, round 12 +2500) but we feel an early-round 3 win might be on the cards on this occasion which is priced +3300.
Do enjoy the fight but please gamble responsibly, all odds are subject to change.
