What are Teasers in Betting?

Teaser bets are very similar to a traditional parlay except that it involves more personal customization when it comes to the spread.

There are no moneyline picks in a teaser parlay, you must pick with a spread – however, you are able to adjust the spread to your preference. This of course changes the odds involved, but can be a fun or creative way to personalize your parlay to something you are more comfortable with.

For example, if you want to choose the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to cover the spread against the New Orleans Saints but do not think the four-point spread is reasonable, you can bump the spread up to +7 in favor of the Buccaneers for that particular bet in your parlay.

This means that teaser bets are much easier to win as you can adjust the lines to your own personal preference. The issue is the more points you take then the smaller the odds are meaning that the payout will always be less than a traditional parlay bet.

All Sportsbooks offer a variety of teaser cards so placing a teaser bet online is relatively straight forward. Just choose the games that you want to bet on and adjust the lines accordingly. The odds will update automatically so before you place your bet, you’ll know exactly the potential payout. What you have to remember is that like a traditional parlay, you need to win every single leg of your teaser to win and get paid out.
