FAQs

Is online sports betting legal in the USA?

This depends entirely on where you live.

Presently only a handful of states have challenged the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PAPSA) and have revoked it to install their own interpretation of the sports betting laws.

Of those states (please check our map) that can legally operate sportsbook betting online not all of them have yet the mechanisms in place for this to happen.

Check our interactive map to see the status of your state and sign up to our newsletter to be kept updated with the latest news and legislation changes.

What is in the minimum age to gamble?

This varies from state to state but normally this is set at 18 or 21 years of age.

Once I’ve opened an account, can I gamble anywhere?

Sadly not, each online operator has to use geo-tracking software to ensure that you are physically located within the state borders for the operator that you are attempting to use.

Do I have to give my social security number?

Almost unequivocally yes. Operators will need to validate that you are legally allowed to play and will look authenticate your address, location, and identity -- it will be necessary for operators to ask this information. However, on most occasions, they will only ask for the last four numbers of your social security number for their validation purposes.

If you have any questions please feel free to send them to enquiries@gamingusa.com
