Football Accumulator Tips: France to edge out Portugal in 10/1 acca

The Uefa Nations League returns this weekend with the majority of games coming on Sunday. England are in action against Belgium at 5pm live on Sky Sports, however there’s a flurry of fixtures from across the continent with all of the home nations featuring.
We’ve hit the crossbar a couple of times this week with our football betting tips and for Sunday’s proceedings our columnist @AnthonyEadson has picked out a 10/1 shot he likes the look of.
France, Czech Republic, Austra all to win, Turkey win or draw - 0.5pts @ 10/1 Paddy Power
The first team I’m fancying for the win on Sunday is France. The World Cup Champions take on Portugal in Paris and Didier Deschamps' side warmed up for this game with a 7-1 victory over a Covid-19 riddled Ukraine on Wednesday. Portugal on the other hand were held to a 0-0 draw by Spain. The game was a rather stale Iberian battle and Cristiano Ronaldo will be itching to get on the scoresheet as he continues his search to become the all time leading scorer in International football.
France are currently third favourites for next summer’s European Championship, behind England and Belgium in the Euro 2021 winner betting market. That quite frankly is wrong in my opinion and I’d have them favourites for the tournament based upon their squad depth and what this crop of players have already achieved. Portugal will be a tough opponent on Sunday, but the quality of Kylian Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann in the final third of the pitch can give the hosts a narrow victory.
Next up at 7:45pm it’s Northern Ireland v Austria, across the water from Windsor Park. Ian Baraclough’s side held Bosnia to a 1-1 draw on Thursday evening, to then go on and win the game on penalties which now gives them a chance of qualifying for next summers Euros. It was a magnificent effort from all involved but I think that game will have taken a lot out of them.
Northern Ireland played 120 minutes of football on Thursday where their players put in absolutely everything. I think they will be a little fatigued from that encounter and we could see a slightly weaker line up against the Austrians. Sunday’s visitors beat Greece 2-1 in a midweek friendly and after the highs of Thursday night I think it will be a defeat on home soil for the Irish.
Israel are another side who played 120 minutes on Thursday evening in a Euro 2020 play-off semi-final. Unfortunately, they were beaten on penalties by Scotland. Incredibly, that was Scotland’s first ever penalty shoot-out, but again I think the extra time and strain of that game will have a huge impact on Israel for Sunday’s game.
It’s the Czech Republic Israel will be facing on Sunday and despite being on home soil I can see the visitors coming out the winners. The Czech’s come into the game having won two of their last three, against Cyprus and Slovakia. With fatigue being such a factor, the odds-against price for a Czech win gives some appeal here.
The fourth and final selection that make up this accumulator for Sunday is Turkey to win or draw against Russia. Vladimir Putin’s boys were beaten on home soil this week by Sweden and I can’t see them faring much better against a Turkey side who come here full of confidence.
The visitors were involved in one of the best games from the midweek fixtures as they came from behind three times to earn a point with Germany in a 3-3 thriller.
They will be full of confidence from that game and have nothing to fear coming into this one. At around 8/11 in the double chance market, Turkey to win or draw the game looks a nice proposition to round off this 10/1 shot for Sunday. All games can be viewed via the red button on Sky Sports football, as always please remember to gamble responsibly.
